Following the introduction of the Motor Sport Association, later to become the Motorsport UK grading scheme several years prior. It was decided in 2016 to fully integrate BRMC grading with that of our governing body.
Motorsport UK registered volunteer Marshals are required to attend regular training days in order to acquire and maintain their marshalling grades. Training is delivered using a modular approach tailored to the individual’s needs.
Progression through the marshalling ranks is managed by the Motorsport UK Marshal Grading Scheme. The scheme has been designed to provide specific skills training to allow an individual to progress from cadet marshalling through to specialised marshalling roles.
To ensure that everyone has a common understanding of their roles and responsibilities on a stage rally, including the management of spectators and handling of incidents, Motorsport UK has launched an online training course which is available by logging into the Motorsport UK website and visiting the Learning Hub. This online course consists of 4 short learning modules and an assessment and, on average, takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
Registering to become a volunteer marshal in Rallying or Cross country is a simple matter of completing the online application through the Motorsport UK member portal. You will first need to complete Motorsport UK’s online rally and cross-country marshals training modules.
To get started, CLICK HERE to log in to the Learning Hub and then follow the relevant links. If you cannot remember your password, please contact the Motorsport UK Membership Services Team on 01753 765 050.
